ARVOPLEA is the pseudonym chosen by Luca Ricci to introduce his electronic music project:
A DARMSTADT SI SON PERSI IL ROCK AND ROLL (In Darmstadt they lost Rock and Roll)
Luca Ricci played in various bands as a singer, keyboardist, and composer, from high school until the beginning of his career as a sound engineer in 2000. Specifically, in addition to STRANE RICERCHE a finalist at the Sanremo Song Academy in 1998, he was a member of OBLIQUA, a band from the Perugian new wave scene in the second half of the 1980s, and of the BOCONOTTI UGO BAND in the early 1990s.
His work as a composer and arranger resumed in 2007 with his membership in the TRIO D’ARNA, a group dedicated to acoustic reinterpretations of Italian song classics, and recently with the compositions of the project ARVOPLEA, whose name derives from a typical expression in the dialect of the city where he lives, Perugia. Meanwhile, he continues to record music and lyrics for various labels, as well as for the one he co-manages, Armida Records.
